During my recent business trip to Arendal, my director chose Thon Hotel for our stay, and I must say, it was a great choice. The hotel offered a fantastic range of recreational amenities, including a 24-hour fitness center. It was a wonderful way to unwind after a long day of meetings and work.
The only minor issue we encountered was the price we paid per night for a standard double room.

The dining room on the 6th floor is great. And the breakfast buffet is excellent.
I dropped my laundry off for a wash. Five pair of socks. A T-shirt and long underwear. It cost 600 krones. More than one overnight stay in a hut. For this money I could have bought 5 pairs of new socks including dinner. We weren't warned anywhere. I was of the opinion that the laundry was service of the hotel.

We were living our best lives with all the sick activities around. Went diving, fishing, and hiking, it was wild! The hotel had free WiFi so we could flex on the 'gram, and there was even a playground for the young ones. Mad vibes, for real!
Bruh, they need a lit party zone for us young peeps. Like, a sick disco ball and some dope music to get the party started.

Staff Beds Location Breakfast General cleanliness
Rooms are a bit worn. Room cleaning could have been improved No A/C..and it was hot. Noise from restaurants, Pubs and other establishments on Friday and Saturday nights...and you had to have the windows open as there was no A/C

location, beds comfort, breakfast
Tried several rooms, and most of them are not quiet, you can always ear machinery noise from cooling systems downstairs that makes sleep difficult to achieve.

Great room and comfortable beds. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of options to choose from, including delicious mushrooms. The location of the hotel was perfect, centrally located near the water and with beautiful views.
The room could use some updating, as it felt a bit worn. The cleaning could have been better, and the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the hot days.

The breakfast was decent. And Arendal is a really nice town.
We had one window that wasn't ever cleaned from the outside - disgusting. It was barely possible to close - i couldnt, my husband needed to use all of his strength to close to about 90%. And outside of the hotel the noise from air conditioners on other buildings has been really loud. There was no good sleep possible. We also had an issue with our TV. The receptionist refused to fix it (she said:"We would have to call someone from a company. And thats not possible." So it didnt get fixed. In our bathroom we also had a permanent cold air stream from the sealing (really tough to handle in late september). There was no pleasure at all.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the action, right in the city centre and near the waterfront. the rooms are cozy and nicely updated, with clean bathrooms. the staff is friendly and the “free” breakfast is off the hook, with a great variety of freshly made juices. the breakfast room on the roof floor offers excellent views of the water.
The hotel could be noisy during events such as the jazz fest.

Spent Easter weekend at this hotel. Loved the comfortable beds and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic offering a great variety of choices. The cherry on top was the beautiful rooftop where we enjoyed our breakfast with a stunning view. The location was great, near to the city center which made it easy to explore local shops and cafes. The staff was hospitable, friendly and always ready to help.
Parking was a bit confusing and we had to figure it out ourselves. The meters were in another language which made it challenging to purchase. Plus, the air conditioning needed to be cooler. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and will be returning soon.

During my Christmas stay, I appreciated the cozy rooms and the amazing breakfast selection. the hotel's central location allowed for easy access to local attractions and amenities. the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
The limited options for the complimentary dinner offered. As a vegetarian, I found it difficult to find something substantial.

Unlimited coffee available all day and convenient city center location were great perks.
Felt most welcome, no complaints whatsoever.

We loved staying at this hotel in the center of town. The location was perfect for exploring and we could easily walk to all the attractions. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we could ask for, including a mini-bar and a comfortable sitting area. The breakfast room had a stunning view of the water and the food was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We also enjoyed the fitness center, where we were rewarded with a protein bar after our workout. this place exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to family and friends.
